BERNINA |
Temple Of Eternity

A girl discovers an old seamstress in an abandoned factory. She teaches her how to sew and takes her on a journey through time.

Our promotional film “Temple of Eternity” for Bernina was shot in an old factory hall near Schorndorf in Baden-Württemberg and was completed over two intensive days of filming. With its raw, industrial architecture, the location provided an atmospheric setting that harmonized perfectly with the story being told. The natural light streaming through broken windows and high hall openings enhanced the poetic character of the production and gave the images a timeless quality.

In the run-up to production, a nationwide casting call was held to find the right actresses for these emotionally demanding roles. The focus was particularly on authenticity, expressiveness, and a natural connection between the two main characters. In addition, the client provided a vintage sewing machine, which served as a visual link between the eras.

Another central element of the film is the original score, which emotionally underpins the narrative development and provides an acoustic accompaniment to the characters’ transformation. The score features organic sounds, gentle crescendos, and understated yet intense instrumentation. The production has received several awards for this musical achievement.

“Temple of Eternity” thus blends craftsmanship, history, and emotion into a cinematic narrative that highlights the timeless significance of sewing as a creative and unifying act, poetically bringing to life the relationship between people, machines, and memory.
